Statement of Faith: Vigilance Against the Rule of the Wicked

In Radical Christianity, we hold fast to the wisdom found in Proverbs 29:2, which declares, “When the wicked thrive, the people groan.” This timeless truth serves as a clarion call for all people to be vigilant and discerning when it comes to those who seek power and authority over others.

The world, with its myriad of challenges and complexities, is a place where the wicked may attempt to grasp the reins of government and control the destinies of nations. It is in times such as these that our faith in God’s guidance and our commitment to justice come to the forefront.

We firmly believe that God has bestowed upon us the power to resist the encroachment of the wicked into positions of power. It is not a passive power but an active one—a power grounded in our unwavering resolve to stand against injustice, oppression, and tyranny. We understand that the wicked, driven by selfish ambition and devoid of compassion, will seek dominion over the earth, using their power to harm the weak and exploit the vulnerable.

Yet, God has granted us the strength to turn them away, to thwart their designs, and to ensure that the seats of government remain sanctuaries of justice and compassion. Our faith emboldens us to actively engage in the political process, to exercise our democratic rights, and to work tirelessly to prevent the wicked from assuming positions of authority.

We recognize that when the wicked rule, the people suffer, and the weight of their actions falls upon the shoulders of countless individuals. It is our sacred duty to protect our communities, our nations, and our world from such suffering. By upholding principles of righteousness, compassion, and love, we pledge to resist the forces of darkness that seek to undermine the well-being of humanity.

In doing so, we align ourselves with God’s divine purpose—a purpose that calls us to be vigilant, to be agents of positive change, and to be champions of justice and mercy. We stand firm in the belief that God empowers us to confront the wicked, to shine a light in the darkest corners of society, and to create a world where the people do not groan but rejoice in the triumph of justice, compassion, and righteousness.
